With a RocS45VN can be compared to other high-end stainles I would suggest the s90v because it has better edge retention. of the 3, however I don't think you can go wrong with either. on a side note, the ergonomics of the altitude fit my hands good, and the jimping has a lot of grip; placed in critical and usable areas. weighs 2.5oz total with sheath.M4 will get & hold an edge a little better but "can" be susceptible to corrosion at blade edge (if not used regularly) & leser etching. It also has higher toughness meaning it absorbs energy better. Less chippy edge & will dent/gouge vs snap. S30V is a good all around/balanced knife steel https://cedric-ada-store.creator-spring. While s45 has more corrosion resistance, and in my experience is easier to sharpen. S90v will hold an edge for a significantly long period of time but harder to sharpen.
