By looking on the web pages some of you guys suggested, that number was used on 350's from '69 to '80 (also on '69 302's and '69 327's), both 2 and 4 bolt.I have a choice of 2 clean std bore blocks to use for a 383 mild street build max 500 HP, 1 is 3970010 4 bolt with good sonic test etc. Other one is GM Goodwrench Mexico build 10066036 4 bolt with little use, not yet sonic tested. Is there any advantage in using the Mexican late model 2 piece seal block ? if so, can anyone let me know details .... They are starting to get harder to find now days. if its a 10/20 block they are even more difficult to find. They came in 2/4 bolt main, and 2-piece rear main seal. The only way to tell how many bolt main is to drop the oil pan and look. They yards around here were stuffed full of them 8 … It's probably a 1972 350. Q: What gm engine ...
