The Trike is more than 400 lbs heavier than its 2 wheel cousin so they put heavier duty shocks on the Trike to compensate for the extra weight. The advantage of the Tri-Glide was better protection from rain and because of the skinny motorcycle tire on the front I could handle the curves much tighter than my Spyder.
